Participation in this downtown event is contingent on securing a coordinator. Volunteers have already signed up to help. We just need a leader to organize the bunch. If no coordinator or float option is astablished SMS will have to opt-out of participating in the parade.

Tabletop Luncheon
Two Co-Chairs are needed.
For this event, SMS Parents and Community members volunteer to decorate tables according to a theme of their choice. Typically the decorators get friends and family to purchase a seat at their table, and only a small amount of open seats are available to the general public. A group of decorators and a caterer are already signed up for the event. This is a time-honored event, so much of the logistics have already been established. Vanessa Galo can help with answering any questions the co-chairs may have.

Father/Daughter Dance
Two Co-Chairs are needed.
Help make a few little girls feel like the belle of the ball by organizing our huge team of volunteers. Dads and their daughters deserve a date night out together, don't they? You can help the Fathers show their daughters a good time and how a gentleman should treat them. Light refreshments, sweets, and a teddy bear raffle along with DJ dancing have typically rounded out the evening. Check out last year's theme - Click Here.

Wine Tasting & Auction
A Silent Auction Lead is needed
Big Picture: The auction chairs send out letters for donations and there is no need to go out and get items. The donations come to the office and they get stored in room 16 (across from the 8th-grade class). About 4 weeks out from the event, the silent auction lead starts organizing items and is the person who makes sure all items get set up on the day of the event (Feb. 29, Saturday, at the community center on east ave.). That is essentially the role.
Here’s what it would entail:
This task is enjoyable because it’s fun to come up with titles for baskets, think of ways to make the baskets look nice and the job can be done on one’s own time (in the evenings or weekends when it works for the volunteer).
SAVE THE DATE and HELP SPREAD THE WORD!
Know of any families, groups or businesses that might be interested in a scrumptious Italian lunch or dinner? Spread the word about your fundraiser and share our digital flyer (below or click here and forward the pdf). If they can't dine-in Melo's will honor the deal for takeouts as well. This is a great way to surprise staff and co-workers as well as do some good for the school in the process.
This week and next we're focusing on bread mixes and cake mixes, specifically
Banana and pumpkin bread mixes and any cake mixes.
St. Vincent de Paul can always use donations of
cereal, pasta, rice, and macaroni and cheese.
