Homework Guidelines

Homework is planned so as to meet the needs of the students and has an essential place in the educational program.

 

Homework is assigned so as:

• to reinforce concepts and skills that have been presented in class
  
  
• to foster the student's creativity and discipline through enrichment projects or research
  
  
• to train the student to work independently and to accept responsibility for completing tasks

 

Homework times for the average student:

K-2	15-20 minutes
3-4	30-45 minutes
5-6	45-60 minutes
7-8	60-90 minutes
