Accreditation

Saint Michael is certified by the Western Catholic Educational Association and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Saint Michael School is an accredited Catholic School operating under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Oakland. The school under went the renewal of its certification/ accreditation status in February 2012. This process involved a year long self study of the school programs and a visitation by a team of professional educators. The purpose of the visit was to provide an outside perspective from educators who are thoroughly familiar with the criteria used by the school.

The basic concepts addressed in this process focused upon student success in meeting school wide learning expectations, which identify what a student should know, understand, value, and be able to accomplish by graduation. During the next six years, the school staff will continue to work to develop and implement our school improvement Action Plan identified during the preparation of our school's Self - Study report.
